Mark May Band's CD release show! Come enjoy an evening with Houston's favorite son Mark May, and the Southern Rock sensations 'Bayou City Outlaw Band' with their guests 'Black Queen Speaks', 'Paul Ramirez Band' and lastly 'The Sellouts'. Mark returns to Houston for the month of January 2012 to promote his new CD 'Release My Soul' to the delight of his long-time Texas fans. If you haven't been introduced to Mark's Southern/Rock/Blues sound, he toured with Allman Brothers Band and subsequently was hired by Dickey Betts to play in his band 'Great Southern', besides having five CDs of killer tunes under his belt, spanning the last twenty year career here in Houston. Mark left a year ago to return to his home state of Ohio when he felt the need to spend some quality time with his aging father. His old band mates have moved on too, involving themselves with their own new projects and enjoying much success. Mark's second guitarist Paul Ramirez (Paul Ramirez Band) has been busy since Mark's departure and has brought together a trio of talented musicians including himself, Brian Shoppell on Drums and Bella Adela on Bass, both of which have played in many other popular groups from Houston and beyond. With his unmatched skill on bass guitar, Dan Cooper has been supporting the enormously talented guitarist 'Scottish Bob' along with Greg Grubbs (also formerly of Mark May Band) on drums. For this tour Mark has enlisted the help of Paul's drummer Brian Shoppell to complete the band line-up for this sure to be amazing reunion month. The House Of Blues show will undoubtedly be the biggest show of all and the biggest stage they will play. Mark will have t-shirts and CDs for sale at the show.
