Bedford Bluesfest artists?

We are looking for suggestions for talent for the 2010 Bedford Blues & BBQ scheduled for Sept 4-5, 2010 do you guys have any favorites? A few locals and headliners would be helpful? What are your feelings about Taj Mahal and the phantom blues band or Robert Cray?

I would love to see Joe Jonas with The Silvertones, and Micheal Burks. Local talent like Maurio Marcus, The Randee Lee Band, and Paul Byrd are some good choices. I do love Bonnie Raitt and
Zac Harmon puts on a great show. Maybe Smokin' Joe Kubeck or Derek Trucks would be good, too.

How about Perry Jones w/ Jessica Munn. Also Jackie Don Loe. And of course the Bulldogs!

AND_--I really second the motion for ALL local talent- Hash Brown- Jimmy Mac MacNeal and The Bulldogs-Rob Donavan-Big Head Kenny Chevez and anyone he brings 8-)

The Silvertones and Joe Jonas ought to be there. Maurio Marcus is a local artist doing some really good work and about to record an album. The last time I saw Taj Mahal was at the Fillmore East with a Tuba band. He released a live album from those shows. He's always unique. I love Robert Cray but never saw him live. How about someone like James Cotton as a national act. Believe it or not I've run into harp players here who have never heard of him! Pinetop Perkins would be a good one too.

Without a doubt, try to get Joe Jonas. His web site is www.joejonas.com Next to BB King, he is truly a Blues icon. All the others are just followers.

Can not go wrong with either Taj Mahal or Robert Cray. Excellent choices.
