We are looking for suggestions for talent for the 2010 Bedford Blues & BBQ scheduled for Sept 4-5, 2010 do you guys have any favorites? A few locals and headliners would be helpful? What are your feelings about Taj Mahal and the phantom blues band or Robert Cray?

All of the suggestions have been great, this has turned into kind of, 'Letter to Santa',. I tried to make a short list but that ain't gonna happen.
First off as hopefuls as a duo or duet
Omar Kent Dykes and Jimmy Vaughan
Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks with his band
As lone blues stars in my southern sky and not in any order
Tab Benoit ... killer
Ronnie Earl... killer on fire
Sue Foley... can tame the devil
Alan Haines...killer on fire and can kill the devil
Pat Boyak...his licks on that gold Les Paul, oh man
I tell ya, Diunna Greenley with Blue Mercy would be great. She's singing in France right now but this Dallas girl would jump to be great here. A couple of friends have expressed their interest- Jonn Richardson who plays with Diunna, and Jason Elmore. Buddy Whittington and Jim Suhler. Jonn won an Albert King award back in 2008. These are all local artists- Well Jonn is from my hometown of Houston. As for headliners, I suggest Gary Moore, BB King, Chris Duarte-(great last year) Eric Clapton, Jimmie Vaughan. Oh- and will someone please update the www.Bedfordbluesfest.com website- Thanks
Glen- The Fistpistols
Yess!! Alan Haynes and Jim Suhler

If you are a local artist, I would recommend putting a link to your web page and/or online electronic press kit. I can't guarantee that the festival folks will take a look at it. But at least if they do, they'll be able to find examples of your music and bio.

Also, I encourage everyone to update their free profile on The Roadhouse for this very purpose.

Good luck,

Michael
Taj is fun but puts on a lackluster show sometimes. ROBERT CRAY is awesome!

You should have Dirty Pool play this year. The group is the hottest upcoming trio in North Texas! Go to www.myspace.com/dirtypooltrio for video, live audio tracks and photos.

Thanks!
Chris Watson Band played it last year with great reception. We would love to play it again this year!

Of course, when it comes to local talent...I vote for Daddy Rocks band...we have a good sized following, some killer original material ,and we look good on stage!! lol....but really, check us out on myspace.com/daddyrockslive for a sample of our music, pics, bios, and even a youtube link to some videos of us playing live on a soundstage,as well as outside live performances.
As for Headliners,I think Taj Mahal and /or Robert Cray would be great...
if you want more suggestions...how about Jimmy Vaughn....

and by the way,if you need a proffessional piano tuner for any of these events please feel free to check out my creditials at myspace.com/champagnebillyking...I tune for all the big names in music who come thru town,at all venues...I've even tuned for Robert Cray before....quite a while back though,I must say....

Hey Wendy,

What a great festival last year. For a "truely" local act I would love to play at this years festival. I was born and raised in Bedford, TX, and graduated from LD Bell. I will be getting a promo pack to you this week or next. In the mean time, please visit http://www.themichaelleeband.com

Thanks for asking for suggestions.
I want to personally second this suggestion. Michael is a really great kid and an amazing talent. I'd love to see him get a chance to play this festival. You won't be disappointed.

Michael
