Cool man, hope you can share more of what's going on at Mardi Gras. I'd love to see some photos and possibly hear some live stuff. But at the very least, let us know how it's going. I'll try to make it out one of these times.

Thanks for the reply Michael. It's going really well at Mardi Gras. We've had a bunch of jammers in every week and each time it's a blast. We have jammers up on stage until time to close down and the room sounds great. They moved the stage to the back room giving it a much nicer feel and sound. Your back isn't towards the front door. For pics go to kennystrauther.wordpress.com. I post pics ever week so you can see all the jammers that make it out. Hope to see you there. Haven't started recording anything live yet but I'll post if if I do.

Cool Kenny. I checked out the Wordpress blog. Did you know that you can publish your Wordpress content on your TexasBluesRoadhouse profile? Yep. All you gotta do is go to your page (click "My Page" above) and in the left hand nav bar is a link at the bottom for "Add RSS". That allows you to add an RSS feed to your page. And your Wordpress blog supports RSS. What it will do is put a short snippet of each new post on your blog on your page here with a link to take you to the blog. That's how I have all the NTB posts on the main page here, for example. It's just RSS.
Wow, that was unbelievably easy. Thanks Michael. Hope to see you around. If you get to the jam make sure to introduce yourself.

This past Tuesday was the bestest so far (yeah, I said bestest.) Four new diva's, Delilah, Sheila, Stephanie and Miss Jackie Hall were singing their hearts out. Pat, Tim, Joesph, and a couple more guitars: I can't remember all the names, but its not my jam so I don't have too :)) Chuck and two more cats on keys, Troy and Phil on drums, and just when I needed a break (ready to have a Shrimp Po Boy,) Big John walks in and shows everyone how the bass really should sound.

And when you think it could not get any better, the band lays down a smooth Neo-Soul grove and this big brotha' in dreadlocks, Blu, gives a rendition of his song/poem "Rub It." His smooth deep voice, kind of a cross between Barry White and Gil Scott-Heron, had all the ladies laughing and swooning. I wish my wife was there, it would had made my evening a lot easier :)

Harry is back on bass next week but I'll be there to see if next Tuesday is as good as this week. Defiantly one of the bestest Jams I've attended in a long time - -and no, I'm not a member of Second Hand Smoke - So There!

Peace

Rob Green (Jam Ho)
