I'm happy to announce the beginning of our Gold Member program here at the Roadhouse designed to feature those members who visit the site often and contribute to the growing community here. Our first set of featured members are folks you probably already know pretty well. But here they are in case you don't:
Chuck Mayo - for volunteering to help with administration of the site, tip jar donations to help cover costs and countless discussions, lessons, blog posts, photos, you name it. Chuck has become a personal great friend through the site. Thank you Chuck.
John Zaskoda - for helping me with the new look and feel of the site, donating his graphic arts talents, supporting the site through advertising and contributing in the blogs, forums and groups.
Hash Brown - Nobody blogs more on this site than Hash. And he was one of the first artists to embrace the Roadhouse when we first got started. For that, I'm eternally thankful. Thanks Hash.
Rockin' Robert T. - What can I say about Robert? He was the first official Roadhouse Gold Member. He'll hold that title forever. And, he's been the most active and vocal supporter of the site since he got here. Not only that, but despite the fact that I keep telling him to hang on to his money, he keeps dropping money in the tip jar whenever he can afford it. When we send an artist to represent us at the Frisco Arts Festival, Robert will be a major contributor. (But seriously Robert, I hope you take care of yourself first and foremost brother. But your generosity is much appreciated.)
Beth Isbell - Beth is a relatively new member to the site. But she's often online in the chat room and she's been blogging about her upcoming shows and commenting on various posts on the site. Beth we appreciate your activity on the site and hope you keep coming back.
Gordon Malone - Gordon was one of our first members and has helped out with so much on the site. He's posted several lessons in the Lesson Loft. He's contributed in our online collaborations. He's come out and jammed with other Roadhouse members. And I see him logging into the site about once a day. Thanks for your support Gordon.
Doug Leslie - Doug has been a supporter of the site for a long time too. He's learning how to be more computer savvy. And this whole thing has been a challenge, but he's making great strides. He's uploaded a couple of songs, commented on various topics and is an avid supporter of the site. Thank you Doug for your support.
Kenny Chavez - Kenny is one of those guys that I've been trying to recruit to The Roadhouse for a while because I wanted to help him promote his events. He's a great guy, so I wanted to help him out. Kenny was one of the first to support the site through his now famous right side ad featuring that famous Chavez smile and advertising his Wednesday Strokers blues jam. Lately I see Kenny checking in about once a day to see what's going on. We appreciate your support Kenny.
Abby Owen - Abby is a big time blues blogger that's embraced The Roadhouse. I want to encourage more blues blogging. So keep up the good work, and keep them coming.
If you aren't on this list, that isn't anything to feel bad about. The Gold Member list is simply a way for me to say thank you for those that visit the site regularly and contribute. As folks stop coming back and others carry the torch, the list will grow or shrink and evolve. So please keep coming back. And when you get a chance, join in on the conversations and share your thoughts on our great blues tradition.
Thank you for featuring my song and for including me on your gold list!! What you are doing for the blues community with this site is amazing!!! I listened to some of our gigs recently and hope we could do it again. By the way, I am going to get Dempsey to the jam next wed. Should be awesome! Hope you can make it. Thanks again, Doug
Good list, Micheal.
That Chuck " Cream " Mayo deserves every accolade you can give him.
I personally want to thank Cream for his contributions to my music and especially to my song "Back Street Boogie".
I've garnered a lot of knowledge from Chuck, that I wouldn't have without him.
But I also want to thank Michael.
Without this site, I wouldn't have met Cream, or Beth, or Hash, or a multitude of great musicians.
Thanks Chuck.
Thanks Michael.
Here's to the Future of the Texas Blues Roadhouse !!
Salud !!
