As some of you may have noticed, several of us have been customizing our personal pages on the Roadhouse to feature our bands or our music or whatever. You can look at my profile for an example. Basically, it's pretty easy. If you go to your page, there's a "Settings" link under your Inbox. Click that. Then on the next page, click "My Page" followed by the "Appearance" link. Here you are able to customize what theme your page has, all the colors, etc.
One easy customization is to put a header image on your page. The easiest way to do this is to right click on the header image on the front page and do a "Save Image As..." to save the file to your hard drive. Then open it up in your favorite image editing tool and erase it to create a blank template for you to add text and images to. Make your design, save it, and upload it to you page. You now have a great looking image on the top of your page.
Now one thing you may want to do is remove the standard Roadhouse header text so that your image appears by itself (like if you wanted to use your Roadhouse page as your band website, you'd want it completely branded for your band.) To do that, you have to go to the Advanced settings on the appearance page. This is the CSS for your page. All you have to do is add the following line to whats already there:
#xg_masthead {visibility:hidden;}
Click Save, and now the Roadhouse text is gone from your page.
There's a lot that you can do if you know a little HTML and a little CSS. But it can also get complicated. So don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it.
Good luck, and happy customizations.
