Most folks think of Antones, but blues at Antone's is rare these days. I find it in small pockets of out of the way bars, most people are told to avoid. It still here, just not much in our face and that is the real beauty of it.....the thrill of the hunt for good blues. Let me know what you find>>>>>>>>>

Kathy Murray's Blues Groove will be at the Austin Bergstrom Airport (Asleep at the Wheel stage)

Dec 9th at 3:30 - 5:30pm...so if you are in the terminal, you'll hear us. I'll give a shout to Hubert Sumlin too.

Wow Michael...that suuuucks! So sorry to hear that. I hope you have some leads for something else. It's tough out there these days. Best of luck to you and your lovely family. NOT the best time of year to hear that kind of news. Damn.

Gig at airport went well, but it was weird to go thru all the security and xray machines, strip down of all my metal jewelery and shoes off...for a gig...and play at hushed down levels...very quiet...but I was told it sounded great out front. It was like playing in your living room, but softer. I had a small Roland Micro Cube amp, which can make a big sound at low volume, which was perfect! Made some news fans too.

One of the strangest gigs in awhile...good news is that we paid before we played.
