How do I turn off or disable email notifications from The Roadhouse?

If you click the "My Page" link at the top of the page and go to your profile page, there will be a list of options on the right hand side of your page that includes an Inbox link, Alerts, Friends and Settings. Click on the Settings link. This will take you to the Settings page. On that page, there is an option to set your Email preferences. Simply unclick all the options for email notifications and you won't get any emails from us anymore.

Why are there Google ads on the site?

To use the free version of this site, we have to accept their Google ads. All ad revenue for this goes to the hosting company. I get zero of this revenue. Turning off the ads would cost $240/yr. I'm going to hold off on that until we can possibly offset that amount with our own ad revenue. Any and all ad revenue raised on this site directly will be reinvested in ads to promote the site and promote Texas blues artists.

Okay, cool. Should I check it out or do you want to field this one? Also, is the Reverb thing still working properly...I haven't used it since I created Mark May's page...I just think musicians should utilize that, through reverb, and not have to post things in separate places. Twice the work, y'know?

Abby, Ning has an Events feature. We could add it back. We removed it because it kind of sucked. But maybe it's gotten better in the last year. Might be worth a try.

I think you have to be in 'admin' to work with the calendar...I'm thinking of re-working it to be only for statewide events such as festivals.

I need to look into the interface with ReverbNation for your bands, because I'm thinking if you have shows listed on Reverb, they should be searchable from here too.

I have the same question, I added a photo but the generic photo is still in whatever official slot causes it to be displayed next to my name all the time. How to I get my uploaded photo to take the place of the generic photo so it will be displayed next to my name like on yours? There doesn't seem to be any link to delete the generic photo from its special slot, and it won't let me drag my uploaded photo to its place either.

How do add a photo for my video so the generic photo won't show on my page? I know there is a way because I see others have a photo for theirs but I am missing exactly where to upload it at! - THANKS - ~ Doc ~

I see a "Delete Photo" link underneath the photos when you click on them and view them in full size. If you don't see that option, send me the link to the photo and I'll delete it.
