The auto focus grabbed the head stock. Sam is just slightly out of focus. That helps the depth illusion. I pushed the chroma just a touch as well.

I think that's what creates the 3D effect. His body is fading back into the darkness, but the head stock is coming out into the light. Really cool, subtle effect.

Geez... Rick does it again. This one looks like a freaking oil painting - great color saturation for available light. Keep 'em coming, Rick!

Dang, sorry I missed you there last night. And look at your depth of field on this shot, so much nicer than mine. @%@%$@#!! I love the way the headstock sort of comes out of the picture at you. Nice.
