Big Jim Wells and the Nightowls, while less visible these days is not gone... Afterall, how could anyone ever really stop playing the blues? Over the years we've played around North Texas, Houston and some in Central Texas and with several configurations.

Ranging from solo shows to a 10-12 piece band including horns galore and other surprises we tend to play private events and some festivals from time to time rather than a regular set of club dates.

We have a limited release record "Live from the Bone" and I am working on a 15 year retrospective (in the tune selection and mix stage) which I hope will be available this year, 2009; both produced and released by Blue Gecko Records of Dallas, Texas.
