Welcome to The Roadhouse. If you've come this far, you must be a fan of the blues. So for that, let me thank you. You probably want to know more about this site, such as who started it and why. So I'm here to try and tell you a little bit about that.
I'm just a blues fan like you. I happen to work in the technology field. So I get a chance now and then to play around with new stuff like this. I've been on a mission to find technology out there to try and help musicians reach a broader and broader fan base. And I wanted it to be free, because we all know how hard it is these days to make a living making music. Nothing is worse than scams that try to make money off of people that already don't have a lot of money to begin with. That's why everything on this site is free to everyone.
The idea behind this site is a simple one. Texas Blues is known around the world for it's high energy and tasty sound thanks to the pioneers that have come before us. Everybody has heard of Stevie Ray Vaughan and many have heard of Freddie King, TBone Walker and Lightning Hopkins. But how many have heard of the local musicians who are keeping the blues alive today? Yes, the answer to that is that only a few of the really passionate blues fans today know their local artists. And so the idea here is to use the banner of Texas Blues to rally the fans to one central location. That location is the Texas Blues Roadhouse. And here, the Top 1% of blues fans can share their love of live blues with blues fans from all over the world. And hopefully, we can help promote local Texas Blues to help keep the tradition alive.
