Tommy Tomcat Arnold left a comment for Steve Desper"If you only did the plate load resistor swap, the reduction in gain would be minimal. That mod is more about reducing the hiss I think. Adding NFB has the biggest effect on cleaning things up."

Steve Desper said… - I am considering the cuustom vibrolux mods. It looks like in your mods you left the reverb on both channels but decreased the gain with the 82k resistor and added the NFB loop. Is that correct? Does the hiss reduction come from the changing the 47k to 82k resistor?
